How long have you been a writer or known that was something you wanted to do? I've been writing since 2008.
What genre(s) do you write and why? As an inspirational and fiction writer, I write to inspire and empower readers. I write because I feel I have message to share with readers not only to entertain readers but to help them grow spiritually. I love to mix real life stories into my fiction. Although each story is unique, we experience some of the same feelings, situations and challenges in life in which the reader can identity. With the ability to craft fiction books, it gives me the opportunity to live through each character.
Do you ever get stuck when you're writing a book? What do you do to get "unstuck"? Yes. Many times I sit at my computer, starting at the blank screen, waiting for words to start flowing. Sometimes they do, sometimes I need a push. Here are a few ways I get unstuck: I read. I use this method a lot. Reading what other people have written. I listen to music and sometimes I go out and walk.
What is your least favorite part of writing? The least part of writing would be editing. Although I don't edit my own book, getting it back from the editor with corrections can be tedious.
If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us? Well, I'd hope you'd like my Lasagna, green salad and garlic bread. And for dessert, I'd display a variety of choices from cookies, cakes and ice cream. Yummy!! All low calorie of course.
What is your typical day like? A typical day in my household would be having a cup of coffee, prayer, enjoying a morning walk and working from home (not all in that order)
Tell us some fun facts about yourself?
My favorite sports teams are: San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors
